Townships of Harley, Hudson, Kerns and Casey

Significant Weather Event

March 15th, 2026 at 3:00pm – In accordance with the Provincial Minimum Maintenance Standards the Townships of Harley, Hudson, Kerns and Casey are declaring a Significant Weather Event.

This means the Environment Canada has issued a “weather hazard” as meeting the criteria for the issuance of an alert under its Public Weather Alerting Program.

This means that an approaching or occurring weather hazard has the potential to pose a significant danger to users of the roads within the municipality. As such, our roads will be in a “state of repair” until further notice and drivers and pedestrians should exercise appropriate caution and avoid driving if possible. Our Municipal Public Works are working to ensure public safety and will notify the public when the significant weather even has ended.

This notice is to notify the public that due to the current and forecasted conditions, caution should be observed when travelling on municipal roads and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads back to optimal conditions.

The Municipal Office will be closed March 16, 2026
